Health & Safety Policy
At Crownul, the health, safety, and wellbeing of our passengers, partner drivers, employees, contractors, and members of the public are at the heart of everything we do.
We are committed to operating in full compliance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, Transport for London (TfL) licensing requirements, and all applicable UK legislation governing private hire operations. Our policies and procedures are designed to promote a safe, professional, and compliant working environment while delivering reliable transport services.
To promote transparency and maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance, we provide access to both our internal Health & Safety Policy and official regulatory guidance.
Official Health, Safety & Regulatory Resources
Please review our internal policy alongside the official guidance below to stay informed about current health, safety, and regulatory requirements:
Our Health & Safety Commitments
1. Health, Safety & Wellbeing
We are committed to protecting the physical and mental wellbeing of everyone connected with our business. We promote safe working practices, encourage adequate rest and fatigue management, support driver welfare, and continually review our procedures to minimise health and safety risks.
2. Risk Management
We carry out ongoing assessments of operational risks, driving conditions, and service schedules to identify potential hazards, reduce driver fatigue, improve road safety, and maintain a secure environment for passengers, drivers, employees, contractors, and the wider public.
3. Vehicle Safety & Compliance
We monitor all vehicles operating under our Private Hire Operator Licence to ensure they meet the required safety and licensing standards. Our compliance procedures include routine vehicle safety checks, scheduled maintenance, and comprehensive compliance record management.
We also verify that every licensed vehicle successfully completes its mandatory Transport for London (TfL) licensing inspections and continues to meet all applicable licensing requirements. Vehicle compliance is monitored through TfL's official digital services, licensing records, and regulatory notifications, in addition to the statutory MOT requirements.
4. Training & Continuous Improvement
We encourage continuous learning and awareness of health and safety responsibilities. Our policies and procedures are reviewed regularly to reflect changes in legislation, TfL requirements, industry best practice, and operational experience.
5. Incident Reporting
We encourage the prompt reporting of accidents, incidents, hazards, and near misses. Reported events are investigated where appropriate to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve our health and safety performance.
6. Duty of Care
We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and accessible transport service for all passengers. We actively promote safe working practices, protect the welfare of our employees and partner drivers, and continually review our operational procedures to minimise risks while maintaining the highest standards of public safety and regulatory compliance.
